Even though Finikunda is mainly thought of as a place
to relax by the sea and be part of the joyous night life, it also
has noted cultural activity. The cultural club always hosts a theatrical
play or other event in the small open amphitheatre by the port,
and during the whole summer, there is a book exhibition with a variety
of books to choose from.

For several years, there has been a very active Cultural
Club here in Finikounda, featuring a number of activities. It has
organised a lot of book exhibitions during the summer, and a large
number of theatrical performances in the open theater of Finikounda.

Artists
Finikounda, like any other beautiful place, has influenced
many artists, who either live here all year round getting constantly
inspired by the land and its inhabitants, originally come from here,
or visit it for a period of time. Poets, painters, sculptors, ceramic
artists, writers, find here images and words, landscapes, people.
Finikounda is the birthland of poets. Meet some of the artists and
their work.

Theatre
The theater companies of Messinia always honour us
with their performances at the small but picturesque open theatre,
which is at the edge of the harbour in Finikounda. We have also
hosted shadow shows, many times, with great success.
